With fair and balanced shifts across mornings, afternoons, and overnight and weekends, shared evenly among our 6-person leadership team, we strive to create a positive work-life harmony.As a CSSD Supervisor you will supervise a team of ***** on any given shift (5 on overnight shifts), with an excellent reputation, we now have 18 main operating theatres.
You will be exposed to the latest in surgical technology, including robotics, and work with some of the highest calibre surgeons in Australia who are usually based onsite in our consulting suites.
**Your Role**You will play a vital role in supervising and ensuring the effective processing and supply of Operating Room instruments, equipment, and items supplied by CSSD.
This critical department is central to hospital operations, responsible for the decontamination, sterilisation, and distribution of medical equipment — safeguarding patient safety and infection control.Your responsibilities include assisting with the disinfection of state-of-the-art surgical equipment and supporting a team that takes pride in delivering high standards of patient care.

**Key Responsibilities*** Provide daily supervision and support to CSSD staff alongside the CSSD Manager, ensuring priorities and standards are met.
* Monitor processing activities according to Aus/NZ187 standards and manufacturer IFUs, making recommendations, as necessary.
* Delegate and coordinate workload to foster teamwork and support staff development.
* Manage decontamination, assembly, packaging, and sterilizing processes following policy guidelines.
* Ensure efficient use and maintenance of department equipment and materials.
* Monitor the correct use of chemicals and oversee inventory control of CSSD processed items.
* Maintain clean and tested sterilisers daily and weekly per policy.
* Support continuous safety and quality improvement activities in line with national health standards.
* Act as a technical resource for CSSD staff and other departments, maintaining AS**** standards.
* Facilitate training and competency validation for CSSD caregivers.You will hold a Certificate III in Sterilisation Services (or equivalent), with a **minimum of three years' experience** working in a **hospital CSSD** **environment**.
Your practical knowledge of sterilisation processes, infection control standards, and equipment handling allows you to contribute confidently to a high-performing clinical environment.
Your experience has also equipped you to support and guide others, with the ability to teach and mentor team members within CSSD and related areas.You are highly organised, with strong interpersonal and communication skills that enable you to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
