Financial Management Role

As a Financial Officer, you will play a key role in managing the organization's financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Your responsibilities will include:
* Bank Account Management: Oversee the organization's bank accounts, ensuring timely updates and accurate records.
* Xero Updates: Regularly update Xero with income received and outgoing payments, maintaining a clear picture of the organization's financial situation.
* Financial Reporting: Provide monthly financial reports as required, highlighting key metrics and trends.
* Financial Performance Review: Analyze financial performance against the budget throughout the year, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations.
* Committee Meetings: Attend monthly committee meetings, providing financial insights and supporting decision-making.
* GST Returns: Complete two GST returns per year, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
* Performance Report: Prepare and present a comprehensive end-of-year performance report, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
* Budget Preparation: Develop and present a detailed budget for the next financial year, outlining projected expenses and revenues.
* Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the organization remains compliant with relevant financial regulations and accounting standards.
Key Requirements:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Xero and other financial software
