THE OPPORTUNITY
- Perform repairs, maintenance, and cleaning across the Pool and Stable complex at Rosehill Gardens.
- Assist the Leading Hand in developing and implementing ongoing maintenance programs.
- Maintain and repair equine exercise equipment and monitor horse swimming activities in line with ATC guidelines.
- Conduct inspections of buildings, facilities, and equipment, providing condition reports and recommended actions.
- Maintain water quality through regular testing, chemical management, and record keeping.
- Follow all WHS and safety requirements, including correct use of PPE and safe handling/storage of pool chemicals.
- Undertake additional duties as required, including acting as Leading Hand during staff absences.
THE RIGHT FIT
To be successful in the role, the right fit will possess:
- Experience maintaining and cleaning within a stable or related facility.
- Knowledge of safe handling and storage of chemicals used for cleaning/maintaining a pool.
- Experience working around horses.
- Sound knowledge of manual handling techniques. The incumbent will require agility to be physically capable of manually lifting heavy objects.
- Knowledge, understanding of WHS legislation and Australian Turf Club policies and procedures.

- Possesses robust interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively at all levels.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Displays effective supervisory skills with the ability to coordinate and motivate staff.
- Excellent time management, organisational abilities, and a strong customer service ethic.
- Holds (or is willing to obtain) basic swimming and First Aid skills.
- Availability to work weekends
- Forklift and bobcat licences are desirable but not essential.
