Job Title: Commercial Finance Lead
About the Role:
This is a dynamic, customer-centric position for an experienced finance professional who excels at commercial thinking and building strong relationships across all levels of management.
You will act as an experienced storyteller and influencer, partnering closely with the Merchandise Team on all commercial decision-making.
Your key role will be to support and partner with the Beer Merchandise team to drive business performance goals.
You will own and manage weekly and monthly performance reporting insights, clearly communicating key performance drivers.
* Provide detailed analysis and recommendations on category pricing, ranging, promotional activities, and supplier contracts.
* Proactively communicate commercial impacts of past and future activities amongst stakeholders.
* Develop initiatives to improve visibility and accountability of category Sales and Profit performance.
* Support strategic and project analysis to drive improved returns on capital investments and business initiatives.
* Proactively work with key stakeholders to optimise ways of working.
* Own the P&L and associated commentary for the category.
* Play a key role in the forecast and budget processes for the category.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information simplistically.
What We Need From You:
* Clear and effective communication across multiple groups of stakeholders.
* At least 8 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting (post-graduate roles).
* CA/CPA qualification is required.
* Advanced experience using financial systems in a commercial environment (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, Google Cloud Platform (GCP)).
* Strong presentation and storyboarding skills.
* Ability to navigate a complex organisational structure and work effectively cross-functionally.
* Advanced time management and prioritisation skills.
