Epiq, Australia's premium supplier of transcription services, has offices across Australia providing court reporting, e-discovery, e-trials, and transcription services for government agencies, law firms and private clients. In order to meet the demand for our services, we are seeking a Court Monitor to work in our Darwin office full-time to produce high-quality recordings and annotations of court proceedings for our major contracts. Comprehensive training and support will be provided. You do not need experience within the legal industry or legal education to be successful in this role, so if you are looking for an industry change then this may be the role for you. Applicants with administrative or technical backgrounds are encouraged to apply. The Role Monitors are responsible for recording proceedings and producing an annotation or log of those proceedings to aid in the process of accurate transcription. Proceedings may take place on site in courtrooms or at client premises, or may be recorded from an Epiq office. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include: Produce high quality audio recordings of hearings Input and manage integrity of data in various databases Produce accurate and detailed annotations of hearings to aid transcription Liaise with court staff and key stakeholders Participate in ongoing training and development activities What we're looking for Candidates who are willing to work from our Darwin offices, as well as travel to regional locations for recording proceedings when required. High attention to detail. Ability to lift and set up heavy equipment. Full-time availability Monday – Friday, with willingness to work outside of standard business hours when required. Full working rights in Australia. Must be willing to undertake a security clearance. Current driver’s licence and vehicle desirable. Administration experience favourable.
