Family Preservation Practitioner – Locum Contract (Ballarat)
Are you passionate about supporting families and children? Want to make a real difference in your community without working full‐time? We're looking for experienced Family Services Practitioners to join a dynamic team in Ballarat, helping families achieve positive outcomes through goal‐setting, action plans, and safety plans.
What You'll Do:
* Manage referrals from The Orange Door (TOD) & Child Protection (CP).
* Connect with families within 24 hours of allocation and complete your first visit in the first week.
* Assess family needs and develop comprehensive plans with clear goals. Implement safety plans and support families directly through individual or group work.
* Maintain a caseload of up to 10 families (depending on complexity).
* Work alongside 3 Team Leaders and a supportive team, including experienced practitioners in Family Preservation & Reunification (FPR) and Intensive Family Services (IFS).
* On‐site in Ballarat, with travel to surrounding towns (e.g., Bacchus Marsh) as required.
* Flexible working hours: 8:30‐4:30 or 9:00‐5:00.
* Ad‐hoc work‐from‐home may be considered in special circumstances.
* Tertiary qualification in Social Work or related field.
* 3+ years' experience in family services case management.
* Strong skills in relationship‐building, goal‐setting, and case planning.
* Independent, organised, and committed to achieving positive outcomes for families.
