Description:
* This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where no two days are ever the same. As a Public Safety Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the Arcadia University community.
* Responsibilities include conducting high-visibility patrols of campus buildings and grounds, providing security presence in University buildings and facilities, and responding to emergency situations.
* You will also be responsible for completing detailed written incident reports, providing security services during special events, and monitoring security services access into the Residence Halls.
* Other responsibilities may include enforcing parking regulations, issuing tickets, and regulating campus vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
* As a Public Safety Officer, you will act as an information resource to students, visitors, and university personnel, and provide support to various areas of the University.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
* Ability to patrol campus buildings and grounds on foot, including stairs, driving a vehicle, and bicycle.
* Ability to remain standing/sitting for an extended period of time.
* Ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
* Ability to work evenings, overnight, weekends, and holidays, and be flexible for various shifts and schedules.
