Overview
Senior Payroll Officer - 5+ month contract opportunity. The role is based in Bankstown with onsite parking. Hybrid working is offered – 3 days in the office, 2 days from home. The ideal candidate will have recent Preceda system experience (minimum 1-2 years).
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end payroll function for approximately 1,200+ employees
- Process and run pay runs on an alternate fortnightly basis
- Handle payroll for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all
- Perform all BAU tasks, including new starter setup, terminations, leave management, and reporting
- Address and resolve payroll queries from employees in a timely and professional manner
- Ensure all payroll data is accurate and compliant with relevant legislation and company policies
- Prepare month-end reports related to payroll
- Monitor and ensure that all payroll processes adhere to the established quality standards
- Other ad hoc duties as required
Ideal Profile / Qualifications
- Proven experience in an end-to-end payroll function; 2-5 years experience
- Prior work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment is preferred
- Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation and compliance
- Must have experience in Preceda payroll system
- Be agile in your approach and comfortable working in a change workplace
- Understanding of legislation and tax law
Benefits
- 5 months temporary role and subject to extension
- Immediate start but open to someone with a short notice period
- $50- $55/hour + Super (Based on experience)
