The Opportunity
The Vine Inn Barossa is seeking an experienced and dedicated Bar & Gaming Duty Manager to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations in the Hotel, ensuring exceptional customer service.
We are offering 30+ hours per week across weekdays and weekends, including nights, with the possibility of a full-time opportunity for the right candidate.
This position requires sound knowledge and experience across food, beverage and gaming areas of hotel operation as well as supervisory skills.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Provide exceptional service to patrons across bar/bistro & gaming operations
* Be responsible for overseeing general operations of the business in absence of manager
* Ability to work well within a team environment
* Ensure venue is a clean, safe and provide a welcoming space for all customers
* Closing the venue by following hotel procedures
* Adhere to company policies and government legislation & compliance
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
* Management experience, minimum 12 months, in a similar role
* Current RSA & RSG, Gaming and RP badge
* Strong time management skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
* Experience managing multiple departments
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train, manage staff and interact with patrons
* The ability to analyse situations and make sound operational and staffing decisions
* Excellent presentation, strong attention to detail and an organised approach
* Flexibility to work across a 7-day roster, including nights, and weekends.
* Australian work rights required for this position.
