The Limestone Coast Local Health Network (LCLHN) Pharmacy Team, based in Mount Gambier, provide services to Mount Gambier and Districts Health Service and surrounding hospitals in the LCLHN including Naracoorte, Millicent, Bordertown, Kingston and Penola. Services include opportunity to be SA Pharmacy credentialed for Pharmacist Partnered Medication Charting, medical, surgical, mental health, expanding emergency department and cancer services. About the role We are seeking a passionate and driven Pharmacist to join our team in a role classified as either AHP2 or AHP3, depending on your skills and experience. As an AHP2, you’ll be responsible for delivering comprehensive, patient-centred pharmacy services across inpatient and outpatient settings. You will optimise drug therapy, provide clinical advice, and contribute to medication safety and management, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high standards of care are maintained. For those appointed at the AHP3 level, this role will also involve leading the management and operations of a designated pharmacy area. You will exercise independent clinical judgement and deliver high-level pharmacy services, medicines information, and therapeutic advice to patients and healthcare professionals. Your expertise will contribute to the safe, cost-effective use of pharmaceuticals and the implementation of strategies that support quality use of medicines across the hospital. About You You are a motivated and adaptable pharmacy professional with strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to patient care. With a solid foundation in pharmacy operations and clinical practice, you bring a keen eye for detail, initiative, and a collaborative spirit to every task. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Demonstrated organisational skills, attention to detail, and technical proficiency in dispensing, production, and counselling tasks. Experience gained through completion of a pre-registration training program in a hospital or community pharmacy setting. Sound knowledge of clinical pharmacy practices, legislative requirements, and pharmacy operations in line with current standards.
