About the Role
As Fabrication Workshop Manager, you will oversee all aspects of our Bibra Lake fabrication facility. This includes production planning, quality assurance, technical guidance, client engagement, and team leadership. You will ensure ISO **** compliance, foster a strong safety culture, and support continuous improvement across workshop operations.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead, mentor, and develop workshop staff, building a strong safety and performance culture
Manage daily workshop operations, production schedules, and workflow
Ensure fabrication quality to ISO **** standards and provide technical guidance
Engage with clients on project requirements, progress updates, and quote approvals
Oversee procurement of materials, consumables, and equipment
Identify and implement improvements to processes, efficiency, and quality
Ensure compliance with HSEQ requirements and champion safe work practices
About You
Demonstrated leadership experience in a workshop or fabrication environment (highly regarded)
Strong technical knowledge of fabrication, structural steel, and workshop processes
Strong skills in Boilermaking/Welding) highly valued
Proven leadership, communication, and team development skills
Knowledge of ISO **** and HSEQ standards
Ability to manage client relationships, contract negotiations, and provide technical project oversight
