Job Overview:
The Plumbing Apprenticeship Program is designed to equip individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in the trade.
As a 1st year Plumbing Apprentice, you will work under the guidance of experienced professionals in Commercial and Residential Plumbing, Gas work, use of CCTV Camera fault location and Excavation.
Key Responsibilities include assisting with general plumbing duties, performing reactive repairs & cyclical maintenance, recording measurements & calculations, installing copper and PEX services, installing, repairing and testing gas fitting, installing sewer & stormwater services, operating CCTV inspection equipment, reading plans & assisting to set out work, practicing safe excavation practices, and maintaining a clean job site after work.
* Assist with various tasks as directed by supervisors
* Perform routine maintenance and repair work
* Record and document work progress
* Install and test piping systems
* Repair and replace faulty gas fittings
* Install and maintain sewer and stormwater systems
* Operate CCTV equipment for pipe inspections
* Read and interpret blueprints
* Maintain a safe working environment
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following skills and qualifications:
* Commitment to completing a Certificate III in Plumbing
* Previous experience or completion of a Certificate II in Plumbing or Construction (desirable)
* Australian driver's license and reliable transportation
* Ability to learn and adapt quickly
* Confidence in using basic hand tools
* Strong work ethic and positive attitude
* Holding a White Card or willingness to obtain one prior to commencement
* Commitment to gaining a Working With Children Clearance (cost refunded upon obtaining)
