This position will lead our finance team across ANZ, ensuring excellence in financial reporting, tax compliance, governance, and digital transformation.As a key member of the finance leadership team, you will oversee all accounting and tax functions, manage risk, and drive continuous improvement. Reporting to the VP Finance, you will play a pivotal role in shaping financial strategy, supporting long-term growth, and embedding best-practice systems and processes.Your key responsibilities will include:Accounting & Governance: Lead month-end and year-end reporting, statutory accounts, and audits; ensure compliance with AASB, IFRS, and company policies; strengthen internal controls and governance frameworks.Tax Management: Oversee all tax compliance (income tax, GST, FBT, payroll tax); manage statutory lodgements; advise on planning, transactions, transfer pricing, and M&A; monitor risks and opportunities.Internal Audit & Controls: Build and lead the internal audit framework; identify gaps, recommend improvements, and implement corrective actions.Digital Transformation: Partner with the VP Finance in delivering the finance digital roadmap; drive automation, process optimisation, and adoption of modern finance systems.Leadership: Develop and mentor a high-performing accounting and tax team; foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Strategic Support: Provide financial insights, analysis, and strategic advice to the VP Finance and SUEZ ANZ leadership team; support budgeting, forecasting, and transformation projects.About YouYou are CA/CPA qualified with 10–15 years' senior finance experience, including at least five years in accounting and tax leadership. In addition, you bring:Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards, corporate tax legislation, and compliance requirements.Demonstrated experience leading external audits, statutory reporting, and tax compliance.Proven capability in designing and embedding internal audit or control frameworks.Experience delivering digital transformation within finance functions.Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.Background in complex, multi-entity or multinational organisationsWant to know moreTo learn more about what it's like to work at SUEZ please visit our website and YouTube channel.
