Bananacoast Caravan Park is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Supervisor to assist with day-to-day operations within the park. In this role you will be responsible for leading a small maintenance team and ensuring all maintenance tasks are completed safely, efficiently and in a timely manner. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, strong leadership qualities and a solid understanding of maintenance techniques and procedures.
Full time - Monday to Friday 8.00am -4.00pm (must be flexible to work Saturdays when required)
Key Responsibilities
Daily Tasks – Co-ordinate with other staff members and help with any ongoing maintenance, or larger remediation works that may include renovations of all park assets.
Team management – Supervise maintenance staff, assign and assist with tasks, ensure work quality and safety compliance.
Planning and scheduling – Co ordinate and schedule planned maintenance, renovations and repairs of park assets (eg. Cabins, Bore, Filtration System, Grounds, Machinery and other)
Operations oversight – Manage day to day maintenance operations, prioritise tasks, address emergency repairs, Assist with other park management teams duties.
Safety and compliance- Enforce safety regulations, supporting environmental, Security and Emergency Procedures
Resource management - Liaise and organise trades, arrange quotes when required, maintenance stock control.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience – Proven experience in a maintenance role, with prior supervisory experience preferred, sound knowledge of computer skills
Leadership – Strong leadership and team building skills to manage, motivate and resolve conflicts within the team
Technical knowledge - Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance best practices, with experience in the building and plumbing trades highly desirable.
Problem solving – Excellent problem solving and decision-making abilities to handle unexpected issues.
Communication- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with staff, management, contractors, residents and guests.
Organisational skills – The ability to prioritise, delegate, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
