Senior Network Specialist Role at NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Network Specialist to build resilient IT networks that enable seamless connectivity.
This is a temporary full-time opportunity for two years, with the possibility of flexible working arrangements across all NSW locations.
The successful candidate will have senior-level experience in managing network infrastructure and its support services, as well as awareness of network security threats and risks associated with network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the installation, monitoring, and maintenance of the organisation's ICT network and associated hardware and software.
* Oversight of project life cycle, from design through to implementation, of ICT Networks.
* Collaboration with diverse stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
Requirements:
* Detailed knowledge of Cisco routed networks, Cisco switching, Meraki switching, and Wi-Fi.
* Experience working with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), SDWAN, Cloud Networking (AWS & Azure).
* Ability to juggle multiple priorities and demands.
* Ability to mentor junior engineers and work cohesively in a team.
This role may include on-call, weekend, and after-hours work.
