Job Title: Heavy Equipment Technician
We are seeking a skilled and self-motivated technician to join our team in Kalgoorlie. The successful candidate will oversee maintenance and mechanical modifications of bore-field generators at KCGM.
* Maintain and repair heavy equipment, including generators and pumps.
* Perform planned and ad-hoc inspections on equipment as required.
* Install and commission new equipment in workshops, yards, or sites.
* Predictive and reactive service, maintenance, and repair of equipment as needed.
* Detect and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults by troubleshooting and providing professional advice.
* Mechanically modify equipment to meet customer specifications.
* Assemble and reassemble diesel engines and parts after repair.
* Repair and rebuild equipment to company specifications.
About You
This position suits a trade-qualified HD/LV Mechanic with prior experience in maintenance and testing of power generation, dewatering, and pump equipment.
* HD/LV Mechanic qualification.
* Experience in servicing and diagnostics for heavy vehicles, mining, construction, materials handling, or similar industries.
* Ability to work in a team or independently.
* Problem-solving/troubleshooting skills.
* Clean WA HR-class driver's license.
* National Police clearance.
