As Manager ICT & Digital Solutions, you will lead the acquisition, development, implementation, integration and maintenance of information and communication technology (ICT) and cyber security associated with the operation of the Architects Act 2003 and the achievement of NSW ARB objectives.
You will :
Lead, promote and support an environment of operational innovation, continuous improvement and productivity to support the delivery of contemporary, efficient and effective services by NSW ARB
Lead and manage the entire lifecycle of ICT projects such as NSW ARB customer management system, learning management system and website, including project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and closure
Lead and manage the selection, implementation and integration of new technology solutions such as AI to optimise NSW ARB regulatory activities and compliance functions, ensuring alignment with legislation, regulations and NSW ARB policies and strategies
Create detailed project plans to outline deliverables, timelines, resource allocation and budgeting specific to ICT projects, including identification and management of associated risks to ensure smooth execution and delivery
Develop, implement and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure that all ICT project outcomes meet specified standards and requirements and are compatible with the NSW Department of Customer Service GovConnect platform
Manage multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient project execution and ongoing maintenance and support of ICT assets
Manage, maintain and support NSW ARB ICT assets, ensuring they are up to date, functional, secure and fully supported, optimise user experience, and enhance NSW ARB regulatory functions and stakeholder engagement
Stay informed of rapidly evolving cyber threats and implement cyber security solutions that comply with whole of government expectations for mitigating cyber risks that could impact the security of NSW ARB data and private information, including the review, development and implementation of policies, processes and procedures to uplift NSW ARB cyber security maturity, the management of external reviews of NSW ARB cyber security (such as penetration testing), the preparation of annual cyber security policy reporting, and the development of action plans to uplift maturity levels for mandatory cyber security requirements
Manage changes necessary to ICT infrastructure arising from amendments to legislation and other compliance requirements that impact NSW ARB operations
Provide proactive, timely and authoritative advice to the Registrar and Board members in areas of ICT and cyber security to enable informed decision making relevant to NSW ARB operations
Maintain good relationships with executive and colleagues, consultants, external stakeholders, and peers from the Department of Customer Service, Audit Office of NSW, Digital NSW including Cyber Security NSW, and other government agencies to inform the identification and development of best practice solutions and support better decision making by the NSW ARB.
You should have the following ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE (and address these in your cover letter):
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information and Communication Technology or related discipline, and/or relevant experience
Experience in the design and development of innovative technical solutions with a high degree of specialist expertise in IT architecture
Experience in the management of the entire lifecycle of ICT projects, including project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and closure
Experience in the public sector desirable
Experience with the NSW Department of Customer Service GovConnect platform desirable
Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills and organisational skills, with internal and external stakeholders
Excellent organisational skills, with demonstrated ability to prioritise workload and complete tasks accurately and in a timely manner
Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgement in problem solving and decision making
High level of attention to detail
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
This position is a 4-year full time contract (35 hours per week)
Salary is $129,464 (Clerk, Grade 9) to $173,174 (Clerk, Grade 12) depending on experience, plus 12% Superannuation.
