Reliability Engineer
The reliability engineer is responsible for the maintenance and reliability of mechanical fixed plant and infrastructure assets at a mine.
* Maximise equipment availability, utilisation, and performance across both surface and underground operations.
* Oversee installation and commissioning of small capital works and plant modifications as required.
* Develop and implement effective reliability-centred maintenance strategies, informed by condition monitoring programs, and comprehensive asset management plans for mechanical assets.
* Proactively identify and address potential hazards, lead mechanical fault-finding investigations, and conduct failure analysis processes to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Take ownership of plant reliability and performance for assigned areas.
* Monitor available data sources and intervene proactively on emerging risks to performance to prevent business impacts.
* Communicate effectively to provide technical advice and support for site mechanical plant and manage internal stakeholder relationships.
* Investigate equipment failures through a structured root cause analysis process and identify, implement and action solutions.
* Improve equipment performance and safety by identifying and completing initiatives that deliver measurable value.
* Stay up-to-date with technical developments, interpret their implications, and take appropriate actions to improve asset reliability and reduce operating costs.
* Provide direction and guidance on relevant mechanical equipment standards.
* Ensure effective management of contractors and consultants.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or heavy industry – preferred
* Condition monitoring techniques – highly regarded
* Demonstrable understanding of reliability engineering and asset life planning strategies
* Execution experience in fixed plant equipment maintenance
* In-depth knowledge and experience with asset integrity management systems
* Exposure and knowledge of NSW WHS (M&PS) Legislation and Australian Standards
