About the Role

The Communications Manager plays a pivotal role in safeguarding and enhancing our reputation through effective communication strategies.

This key position requires a blend of communication expertise and project management skills to plan and execute projects and communication initiatives aligned with strategic goals across the organization.

You will ensure the timely development and dissemination of high-quality communications across various platforms, engaging team members nationwide. Building collaborative relationships across departments and understanding business needs and stakeholder audiences are essential.

Responsibilities Include:

* Implementing communication strategies and proposing initiatives to improve team communication
* Developing trusted relationships with leaders, preparing communication plans, messages, and presentations as needed
* Supporting enterprise projects by executing plans and creating engaging communications
* Ensuring message consistency and alignment with enterprise-wide programs through collaboration with the Communications team
* Working with frontline teams to facilitate effective project rollouts

About You

You are calm under pressure, capable of managing complex, high-profile projects with a methodical approach. You advocate for customers, translating complex ideas into clear communications. Organized, data-driven, adaptable, and solution-focused, you enjoy building relationships and tackling challenges proactively.

What We're Looking For:

* Relevant tertiary qualifications in communications or related fields within large organizations
* Strong project management skills for planning, executing, and evaluating large programs
* Experience in developing and implementing communication plans and campaigns
* Excellent oral, written, and editing skills, with knowledge of digital communication channels
* Curiosity about current news, social, and political issues
* Highly organized, efficient, and comfortable working in ambiguous situations
* Strong interpersonal, change management, and project management skills
* An understanding of issues and their impact on reputation
