Key Position Overview
A skilled facilities engineer with expertise in electrical systems is required to support a major organization worldwide.
This role involves project management and facility engineering functions for international locations. The ideal candidate will oversee all phases of the project life cycle, including requirements development, design, construction, and closeout.
The successful candidate will focus on the construction, recapitalization, and planning of electrical systems as well as other types of projects. Key responsibilities include:
* Coordinating with organizational representatives at all levels;
* Reviewing project proposals and providing comments;
* Planning, monitoring, coordinating, and executing complex electrical tasks;
* Developing and managing electrical project plans and conducting design reviews;
* Developing status reports, project schedules, and cost estimates;
* Supervising Factory Acceptance Testing;
* Participating in root cause analysis following an electrical anomaly.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain one;
Minimum 10 years of experience in facility operations, specifically with electrical systems;
Bachelor's degree in engineering or architectural field;
Basic knowledge of government organization business methods;
Knowledge of facility operations and maintenance activities and procedures;
Experience related to low and medium voltage power distribution systems in commercial and/or industrial facilities;
Ability to produce rough order of magnitude (ROM) cost estimates for facility project planning and programming;
Ability to manage multiple resources;
Demonstrated project management skills associated with managing performance, budget, and schedules;
Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to team with industry partners.
Desired Qualifications
Master's degree in engineering or architectural field;
Understanding of ICS/SCADA systems and electronic controls, energy monitoring and control systems (EMCS);
Understanding of quality management principles, including quality assurance and quality control;
Knowledge of federal, state, and local building and safety codes.
