We are seeking a proactive and skilled individual as the Manager, Facilities and Assets to lead a newly established team and deliver excellence in ensuring safety, compliance, and sustainability across our facilities and asset management operations. This role will provide expert advice across the organisation to ensure financial sustainability, service excellence, and operational efficiency, along with motivating the team to foster a high-performance culture.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Mildura Campus, this pivotal role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on leadership to ensure our facilities are safe, compliant, and aligned with sustainability and operational goals. Key responsibilities include:
* Provide strong leadership by implementing effective and proactive people management strategies to foster a high‑performing and engaged team to deliver high‑quality outcomes across all SuniTAFE locations (Mildura Campus, Smart Farm, and Swan Hill Campus).
* Take responsibility for the proactive oversight of campus facilities, grounds and physical assets, driving operational excellence.
* Maintain secure, safe, compliant, and fully operational campuses through proactive maintenance, regular audits, and risk management.
* Provide technical expertise and feasibility analysis to support campus planning.
* Coordinate emergency preparedness and security response for facilities‑related incidents.
* Oversee contractor management and vendor service delivery to maintain quality standards, OSH compliance, and child safety.
* Develop and manage the annual facilities and asset budget, ensuring adherence to state procurement processes and financial requirements.
* Oversee capital works and refurbishments, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
* Oversee the implementation, management and continuous monitoring of the SuniTAFE Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP), ensuring effective delivery and compliance.
