We are looking for a Library Trainee - Local Government Opportunity in Picton!
As a Library Trainee, you'll gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced library staff while supporting the delivery of important community services. You'll assist library visitors, help maintain library spaces, and contribute to programs that promote literacy, learning, and community engagement while completing a nationally recognised traineeship in Library and Information Services.
This is a role where you'll receive guidance and mentorship, not just be part of a team.

Some of Your Duties Will Include:
• Delivering high-quality customer service, assisting with enquiries, memberships, and borrowing services
• Supporting customers with basic technology and digital literacy needs
• Maintaining library spaces, including shelving, tidying, and collection upkeep
• Assisting with programs and events such as storytime, craft activities, and book clubs
• Supporting promotional activities, including displays and content updates
• Assisting with collection management, processing, and maintenance tasks
• Contributing to outreach services, including Home Library Service
• Undertaking administrative duties and supporting library projects as required
