About the job Automation Support Engineer
We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Automation Support Project Engineer to work on a very high profile project in Melbourne.
M client is a leading, global, freight management technology business looking for a talented individual to support a major client. We are looking for a person who understands what can go wrong with what is essentially a free moving robot on an industrial scale. Experience of various types of sensors and software related issues is highly sought after even if in a post graduate, non commercial context.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education
BS or MS degree in Mechatronics and Robotics Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
Experience
Related technical development and/or customer service experience.
Working experience of Unix, Windows, Database management systems (such as Oracle, SQL Server).
Familiarity with programming (like C#, C++ or Java).
Exceptional data-analysis and debugging skills using application logs.
Familiarity with APIs, XML, JAVA, APACHE, and client-server apps.
Knowledge of networking technologies and relational database structures and web-based enterprise solutions and technologies.
Demonstrated experience with mission-critical, industrial enterprise application solutions.
Willingness to travel based on business need (up to 10% - 25%).
Exceptional leadership, customer service, writing, and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated time/account management, and organizational skills
Flexibility and ability to work extended hours under tight deadlines
Problem solving and troubleshooting of complex technical issues
Results oriented work methods
Ability to work independently and in a matrixed team
