Permanent day worker with on-call responsibilities.
Hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant, working up to 76 hours per fortnight. Position available as soon as possible.
Specialist Medical Practitioner position with a base salary ranging from Level 1 - Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 3: $224,336 - $310,389 per annum (pro rata), plus 12% superannuation and access to salary packaging. Additional allowances and relocation reimbursement will be included in the remuneration as per the award/agreement.
The Cardiology Department at Launceston General Hospital serves a catchment population of approximately 250,000, providing 24/7 cardiac services to Northern Tasmania.
This growing and busy department includes a team of seven cardiologists and three advanced trainees. Exciting expansion plans are underway for the Northern Heart Centre at LGH, featuring two state-of-the-art catheterisation labs and a stand-alone department as part of the LGH master plan.
The department is well established, supported by experienced medical and nursing staff, and is one of the busiest labs in the country, performing over 2,000 procedures and more than 500 coronary angioplasties annually.
