About The Role

The Maintenance Technician will be part of our Maintenance team and will also support our Technical Services and Product Performance teams in various tasks.

Our technically diverse Maintenance team is responsible for ensuring our equipment performs well and is available to support our client's needs.

The team is our face to the customer, and regularly interacts with our Project Managers, Physicists and other teams within Chrysos.

Main Responsibilities:

* Technical Services

o Manage the timely completion of implementation studies, coordinating the delivery of mineral sample materials from and to clients.
o Record and track all workflows on platforms provided.
o Project manage multiple feasibility studies at the same time.
* Product Performance

o Preparation of PhotonAssay system and performing validation of test work.
o Quality checking of materials or applications test work.
o Follow, suggest and implement new processes for continuous improvement.
* Safety

o Have an eye and voice for safety and contribute to ensuring a safe work environment for all.
o Maintain good housekeeping with a clean and organised work area.
* Maintenance Engineering

o Maintenance of PhotonAssay in Bendigo, VIC that includes mechanical, electrical and software systems.
o Scheduled monthly maintenance as well as responding to breakdowns on short notice to minimise downtime and maximise availability.
o Generating detailed reports about the maintenance and repairs completed.
o Technical support service via phone, e-mail and remote computer login for troubleshooting and performance checks during and out-of-office hours as agreed. This will involve liaising with support staff at Chrysos' headquarters and our technology partner in China.
o Training of the customer on the safe operation and basic troubleshooting of the equipment.
o Supervising contractors and managing upgrades or repairs making sure all engineering specifications and protocols are followed.
o Assisting in the continuous improvement of the processes associated with the maintenance of PhotonAssay systems.
o Inventory management and record keeping on site.

Requirements:

* Demonstrated experience in maintaining technical equipment.
* Customer Service and Field Service experience in the mining or laboratory sector.
* Safety first focus.
* Strong technical troubleshooting skills.
* Good attention to detail and organised.
* Good understanding of statistics.
* Able and willing to travel and work within Australia, including at remote locations such as mine sites.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Rights to work in Australia.
* Current Driver's Licence.
* Familiarity with modern web applications and Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
* Tertiary qualification in engineering (electrical, electronic or mechatronic) or a closely related technical discipline.
* Mine laboratory experience with XRF, ICP, XRD, wet chemistry or fire Assay
* Demonstrated experience in fault finding in electro-mechanical equipment.
* Hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas: electrical wiring and safety, power distribution, mechanical maintenance and repairs; basic electronics; metalworking; engineering drawing and design.
