This position qualifies for an annual Recruitment Incentive Package up to the value of $10,000 under the NSW Health Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme.
The scheme recognises the role key health workers play in enabling the delivery of rural and remote health services, and aims to provide incentives over and above award entitlements, to attract and retain staff in these areas.

What you'll be doing
Provide specialist assessment, care planning, treatment, withdrawal management, case management and referral services to people experiencing drug and alcohol problems and collaborate in the further development and delivery of a comprehensive multidisciplinary drug and alcohol service.

How to Apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria in the application as thoroughly as possible:
- Current unrestricted Registered Nurse registration with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with a minimum of two years clinical experience working in the drug and alcohol sector.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in drug and alcohol clinical practices and treatment interventions.
- Demonstrated application of evidence based practice and critical thinking to advocate for and implement recovery oriented individualised person centred and trauma informed care to clients of the Drug and Alcohol service
- Demonstrated commitment to work and partner with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander consumers and their families to enhance health outcomes.
- Evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills together with willingness to apply and share professional expertise with colleagues and students.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills including the verbal and written ability to communicate and consult with clients, family and/or carers and other health, community and welfare professionals together with intermediate computer skills including use of the Microsoft Office suite.
- Demonstrated competence in the use of electronic information systems and the ability to maintain accurate medical records utilising appropriate documentation and entering data related to activity in a timely manner.
- Current licence to drive in NSW
