About the Opportunity
This newly created Procurement Manager position reports to the CFO and will lead the greenfield establishment of a procurement function that will optimise outcomes and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The Procurement Manager will craft and execute category strategies across all areas of spend and implement controls and processes to develop a framework of procurement best practice. Success will be measured by competitive pricing agreements and identified savings reinvested in future initiatives and ongoing projects. You will critically evaluate risk and quality metrics and ensure adherence to social procurement and ethical considerations for suppliers. You will collaborate with key stakeholders to support the roll-out and project management of continuous improvement initiatives that may include new technologies, systems implementation and upgrades. The role delivers direct and indirect category spend savings, drives best practice and process improvements, and builds a robust Risk, Governance & Contract framework in line with social procurement considerations and the organisation\'s values.
About You
The successful candidate will demonstrate a track record of success within a hands-on yet strategic procurement role. You will work with diverse stakeholders internally and externally and communicate benefits clearly. This role requires a broad range of skills to enable a full source-to-contract methodology across diverse spend categories. Key processes include procurement analysis, supplier negotiation and selection, contract management and award, and ongoing supplier relationships. The remit includes building capability and robust frameworks to ensure risk, governance, quality and compliance are addressed. You will be organised and detail-oriented to enable a robust administrative framework and documented methodologies. The role suits an outcome-driven procurement business partner who is people-oriented, an adept communicator, and data-led. You will execute category strategies into practical cost savings while ensuring documentation and social procurement considerations are compliant as part of a new policy and governance framework.
