About The Role
The Cook plays a significant role in enhancing the overall quality of life for residents at Arcare by providing delicious and nutritious meals.
The cook prepares appetising and well-balanced meals while fostering positive dining experiences that contribute to the overall health and well-being of our residents.
Your Key Responsibilities
Meal Preparation: Prepare meals according to menus designed by the Head Chef, ensuring they are nutritious, appealing and meet residents' dietary needs.
Special Diets: Accommodate special dietary requirements, such as texture-modified diets, to cater to the unique health conditions and preferences of residents.
Food Safety and Hygiene: Adhere to strict food safety and hygiene standards to prevent foodborne illnesses and maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen environment.
Quality Control: Monitor ingredient and finished dish quality, ensuring high standards in taste, appearance and portion size.
Collaboration: Work as part of a team in the kitchen, collaborating with other staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service.
Skills & Experience
Certificate III or IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery)
Adaptable, passionate, and willing to learn
Collaborative and skilled at teamwork
Friendly and effective communication abilities
