**_ Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking Visiting Medical Officers in Anaesthetics_**_to join our team at Canterbury Hospital_**
We are looking for a Visiting Medical Officers in Anaesthetics. The primary purpose of the role is to provide high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Anaesthetics and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Anaesthetics Department and Hospital as required.
The Visiting Medical Officer will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development.
In addition, the role will be a part of a cohesive anaesthetic team who provide specialist anaesthetic services to a broad range of specialities in both adults and children. This will involve collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure clinical services provided are safe and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
The successful applicant will be registered or eligible for specialist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and Fellowship with the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthesia (FANZCA), and/or other equivalent specialist recognition.
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Public Hospitals Visiting Medical Officer Determination.
