**About the Role**:
Our client is currently seeking multiple **APS4/5 Finance Officers** to join the Financial Control Branch. The Branch is responsible for the financial management of the Agency and Scheme, and
provides insightful financial reporting to enable strategic decision making.
Key accountabilities include producing audited annual financial statements, the Annual Report, budgets, monthly financial reports and forecasts. The branch manages the maintenance and development of finance systems, analysing financial performance, and providing financial advice to support decision making and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements. They provide financial reports and advice to support the business manage its group, division and branch level budgets.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**APS5 Finance Officer x 1, hourly rate: $55.24/hr excl. Super**
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Assisting with asset management.
- Costing proposals and initiatives as required.
- Drafting a range of written material including business cases, reports, executive briefs and corporate documentation.
- Establishing, managing and providing financial management advice to internal and external stakeholders to improve the financial management and operations in the agency.
- Exercising appropriate delegations in accordance with legislation and guidelines.
- Monitoring and managing work output and quality against established performance standards through quality analysis and reporting.
- Monitoring and reporting on the achievement of business outcomes, key performance indicators and quality assurance to assist local management to manage overall performance.
- Undertaking financial administration across the division's cost centres and projects, including budgets, monitoring, forecasting and accruals.
- Undertaking weekly, end of month and end of financial year SAP FI system rollover activities and provide assistance to users of SAP FI as required.
**APS4 Finance Officer x 2, hourly rate: $43.82/hr excl. Super**
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Facilitating transaction processing in the systems to ensure financial data is accurate and complete.
- Extracting and analysing data from SAP and other financial systems to resolve enquiries.
- Preparing accurate and timely management reports as required.
- Providing input into the development of Standard Operating Procedures for the team, including process mapping requirements.
- Working with key stakeholders to support various project initiatives.

**Selection Criteria**:
**Essential**:
- Demonstrated experience in a Finance function, ideally in Government or in a large organisation
- Demonstrated experience measuring and reporting on compliance with approved policies/procedures
- Demonstrated ability to interpret, analyse, and present data
- Proficient use of Excel
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a small team
**Desirable**:
- CPA qualification or substantial progress towards (APS5)
- Experience in SAP (APS4/5)
