Software Asset Management Specialist
This role plays a pivotal part in driving an operational model centered around business partners, ensuring the efficient management of software and hardware assets while maintaining compliance and maximizing value for the organization.
The incumbent will partner with Service Owners to track, facilitate, and optimize software and hardware contract renewals, advise on solutions that meet business requirements, and procure only approved products.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Partnering with Service Owners to track, facilitate, and optimize software and hardware contract renewals.
* Advising on solutions that meet business requirements while procuring only approved products.
* Validating asset usage, meeting financial requirements, and monitoring lifecycle stages including End-of-Life, version management, and fleet size.
* Working with technology teams to design and execute transition strategies for assets and contractual arrangements.
* Identifying licensing risks, non-compliance, and mitigation strategies through strong control mechanisms.
* Ensuring all standards, processes, and reporting meet internal and external regulatory requirements.

Required skills and qualifications:
* Proven experience in software asset management, including direct dealings with software vendors (financial services experience desirable).
