About the Role
We currently have opportunities for Electrical and Instrumentation Technicians who want to upskill and obtain HVIA certification or Cert III Instrumentation. This role will be based on the Yarwun Operations and involves supporting our high‐performing maintenance teams across the refinery.
Responsibilities
* Maintain and replace electrical equipment.
* Execute planned and unplanned breakdown maintenance.
* Troubleshoot, calibrate, repair and service fixed plant instrumentation and electrical assets.
* Test and maintain HV and power generation systems (team dependent).
* Work autonomously and be a reliable, positive contributor to the maintenance team.
* Adapt to changing business needs.
* Identify and implement improvement initiatives across disciplines.
* Promote and identify HSE opportunities to improve equipment, processes and behaviours.
* Execute defined primary and secondary scopes from SAP (CMMS).
What You'll Bring
* Commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.

* Valid C‐class driver's licence.
* Australian \"Open\" electrical licence.
* Proven fault‐finding and repair history on electrical equipment.
* Maintenance experience in heavy/industrial industry.
* HV switching or instrumentation experience (preferred).

Where You'll Be Working
The position is located in Central Queensland, approximately 10 km north‐west of Gladstone, at the Yarwun alumina refinery. The refinery processes bauxite from Weipa and Gove to produce over three million tonnes of smelter‐grade alumina annually and relies on a 24‐hour operation supported by a dedicated maintenance team.
