What's the role?
The role will be responsible for leading the design, implementation and continuous improvement of enterprise infrastructure platforms and services, driving reliability, scalability and innovation across all domains in line with business objectives and industry best practices. It involves overseeing complex initiatives, acting as a subject matter expert for infrastructure strategy and operations, and supporting engineering capability through mentoring.
Additionally, the role leads the deployment and lifecycle management of critical infrastructure across servers, storage, networking and cloud platforms, including provisioning, optimisation, patching and decommissioning. It partners with stakeholders to deliver resilient solutions, ensures compliance, monitors SLA/OLA performance, manages problem management, and oversees vendor relationships.
Qualifications
* 7+ years' experience in infrastructure engineering or related field.
* Proven expertise in designing and managing enterprise infrastructure (on‐premises and cloud).
* Strong knowledge of automation, scripting, and infrastructure‐as‐code tools.
* Strong experience in ITIL – Service Now, including building forms and coding for automation.
* Strong experience supporting and troubleshooting complex automated workflows, interpreting detailed design documentation and navigating operational support processes.
* Experience managing technical teams, vendors and ongoing vendor relationships.
* Desirable skills include relevant certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, Cisco, VMware), experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines, and exposure to financial services or other regulated environments.
