. Together, we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for clients across
Defence
and National Security.
We currently have an opportunity for an Assistant Product Manager in Canberra to work on Joint projects
.
What You'll Do
This role offers a broad scope, with key role responsibilities including:
* Support Product & Financial Management
: Assist with DHFCS sustainment budget, finances, and product management strategies to optimise Defence asset performance.
* Contractor Coordination & Communication
: Maintain effective relationships with contractors to manage schedules, risks, costs, and project requirements.
* Service Oversight & Capability Assurance
: Oversee ad-hoc and recurring sustainment services and review deliverables to ensure DHFCS capability is maintained.
* Acquisition Program Support
: Contribute to JP9101 acquisition activities, including working groups with the Prime Contractor.
* Transition & Site Engagement
: Support DHFCS transition to EDHFCS and be prepared to travel to DHFCS sites as required.
What You'll Bring
* Defence Project & Logistics Experience
: Background in Defence logistics, engineering, or project management, ideally within CASG or capability projects.
* Formal Qualifications & ASDEFCON Expertise
: Tertiary qualification in Project Management or related field, with experience using ASDEFCON contracting templates.
* Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership
: Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to lead teams, guide strategic change, and manage cross-functional collaboration.
* Capability System & Policy Knowledge
: Familiarity with the One Defence Capability System and understanding of Defence policy, legislation, and operational requirements.
* Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Experience
: Knowledge of acquisition and sustainment processes through FMS support arrangements.
Due to the nature of the work, you are required to currently hold and maintain a minimum
Negative Vetting 1
or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth. In some instances, compliance with
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
