The Role
The Asset Manager plays a critical role in maximising returns across all operating assets while ensuring they are managed in the best interests of investors. This involves building and maintaining strong asset management capability within the company, overseeing the performance of operators and property managers in line with operating agreements and corporate governance standards, and driving accountability through clear performance management. The role also requires close collaboration with finance and governance teams to ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, while delivering timely and accurate reporting to investors and stakeholders. In addition, the Asset Manager champions best practice ESG initiatives at the asset level, aligning with investor and stakeholder mandates to enhance long-term value and sustainable outcomes.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
Asset Management: Implement the company’s strategies and policies, overseeing operator performance, managing key relationships, monitoring expenditure and ensuring activities enhance property value and income.
Due diligence: Assist in site acquisition, internal and external due diligence, and corporate M&A; transaction where appropriate.
Reporting: Responsible for asset-level and compliance reporting, including quarterly and lifecycle reports, CAPEX plans, investment committee papers, and other ad-hoc reporting as required.
Compliance: Ensures statutory and corporate compliance, oversees project mobilisation and transitions, and supports ESG initiatives to meet company goals at each property.
Financial: Liaising with and supporting the finance function to ensure all services are delivered in accordance with Investment Management, Management Services, and finance agreements.”
We think you'll thrive here if you:
- Bachelor’s degree in Property/Real Estate, Finance, Commerce, Business, or Economics
- 3–5+ years in asset management
- Experience overseeing operators or third-party property managers, including contract performance and KPI management.
- Track record of maximising property value, income, and operational efficiency.
- Exposure to CAPEX planning, lifecycle maintenance, and property strategy implementation.
- Skilled in evaluating asset performance, overseeing projects and CAPEX, resolving operational and financial issues, engaging stakeholders, and leveraging property systems, financial modelling, and reporting tools.
