Ground Hardware Engineer Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Ground Hardware Engineer to join our team in the Ground Terminal and Infrastructure Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing operation, maintenance, and repair services for ground terminal architecture at customer sites.
Job Responsibilities:
* Operation, Maintenance, and Repair:
*
The Ground Hardware Engineer will provide daily activities and after-hours 24/7 response for technical operations, maintenance, and repair of end-to-end communications capabilities.
*
They will oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of communications systems and components for ground to space communication links.
*
Crafting and executing preventative maintenance plans for large antenna platforms and associated equipment is also a key responsibility.
*
Applying technical knowledge of electronics principles to determine equipment malfunctions and apply skills to restore mission critical operations at the system, sub-system, line replaceable unit, and board level.
*
The engineer will operate, maintain, repair/replace, and install various types of electrical equipment and devices related to all aspects of satellite communications.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline with 2 years of engineering/technical experience OR Master's Degree with 0 years of engineering/technical experience OR High School Diploma/G.E.D plus 6 years of engineering/technical experience.
* Possess work-related experience with the operation, maintenance, and repair of RF Communication systems.
* Possess system level test experience working with antenna/ground hardware.
* Ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret clearance, SCI access, and complete a counterintelligence polygraph examination prior to start date.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Active DoD Top Secret Clearance / SCI Access with a counterintelligence (CI) polygraph examination adjudicated within the last four years.
* Practical RF systems knowledge gained through design, construction, and/or tactical communications system experience; experience in military settings is a plus.
* COMSEC Experience beneficial.
* Forklift and Elevated work platform license/experience.
About This Role:
This role requires a two-year commitment and the ability to successfully pass a physical and psychological exam. Shifts are typically from 7:30am to 4:00PM Monday - Friday with only occasional off hours or long hours needed for special activities.

Salary Range:
$73,900 - $110,900
The salary range represents a general guideline; however, we consider a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
