The Opportunity: Based in Kalgoorlie WA, we are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to join our team as the Supply, Distribution and Purchasing Manager. This newly created role will be responsible for overseeing every aspect of our supply chain process, from sourcing OEM product lines, dealing with distributors to contract negotiations, purchasing, warehouse logistics and distribution operations. Reporting directly to the CEO, and working closely with the Executive team, this role will play a critical part in shaping the future of our supply chain strategy.
The role will be responsible for:
* Oversee the control of the entire supply chain process, including planning and organizing, sourcing and purchasing to warehouse storage and co-ordinating distribution operations.
* Strengthen supplier relations, negotiating contracts to meet cost and delivery requirements to grow long-term supply arrangements and enhance vendor relationships.
* Use data and analytics from our recording systems to optimize operations and interpret metrics to drive continuous improvement and monitor performance to meet growing customer requirements.
* Collaborate with the CEO, Executive team and other key internal stakeholders to maintain minimum and forecasted stock levels, plan and implement distribution strategies and monitor overall services.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Extensive Experience: 5+ years demonstrated experience in similar roles with relevant qualifications in the Supply Chain field.
* Expert Communicator and Negotiator: Strong team player with great interpersonal and negotiation skills, able to manage relationships and communicate effectively across all levels of the business.
* Inspirational People Leadership: Management level leader who can create a culture of employee engagement, trust, and high performance.
* Deep Functional Expertise: Proven experience within a large-scale healthcare manufacturing/operations environment.
* Experience with Oracle/SAP or similar inventory management systems in the FMCG or medical supply industry will be highly regarded.
* Strategic Capability: Ability to integrate with the management team in defining and executing supply chain forecasts, maintain stock levels, incorporating risk analysis and contingency plans.
* Analytical Focus: Strong capability to optimize operational inventory to meet supply through periodical cycle counts and data-driven decision-making.
* Commercial Acumen: Expertise in managing relationships with key vendors and customers.
* Logistics and Operational Management: Ability to analyze and develop efficient company-owned equipment runs and associated driver rosters to ensure on-time deliveries; experience in third-party logistics/warehouse management transporting finished goods.
* Health & Safety: Demonstrate and promote a culture of workplace health and safety.
Working Hours:
* Monday to Friday 38 hours per week with some occasional weekend work.
