Credit & Processing Supervisor – fast-paced, non-bank lender
Hybrid working, in office 4 days a week 1 from home
Join a growing non-bank lender as a Credit & Processing Supervisor, supporting a high-volume mortgage operation specialising in SMSF lending.
My client is seeking an experienced Credit & Processing Supervisor to join their busy mortgage management team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can think on their feet, and enjoys being hands-on while supervising processing workflow. With strong loan volumes and new campaigns launching, this role is critical to ensuring files are packaged correctly and loans progress efficiently through to settlement.

You'll be joining a well-established non-bank lender with a strong reputation in the market. The business operates with a collaborative, down-to-earth culture and values attitude, teamwork, and accountability just as much as technical capability. The team consists of 25 staff, including local credit and lending professionals and an offshore administration and processing team in the Philippines.

What will you be doing?
Credit Assessment
Thoroughly analyse, assess and recommend PAYG, SMSF and Self Employed loan applications in line with Funder partner's policies and procedures to ensure sound credit decisions are made.
Review loan application, financials and credit reports to ensure that all relevant data is present. Ensure product recommendations for loans funded are deemed suitable. Ensure processing timeframes and service level agreements are maintained.
Order valuations as required in consultation with business writers, clients and other third party stakeholders.
Contribute to the ongoing process improvement to ensure Credit Team processes reflect the Organisation's business strategy and priorities.
Follow through with post formal approval & pre-settlement queries ensuring loans are settled promptly.
Customer Service
Develop and maintain strong broker relationships in order to provide exceptional customer service
Liaise with Mortgage brokers, regarding loan scenarios when necessary.
Communication & Reporting
Maintain accurate client data and back channel messaging to broker and Funder systems, including all history notes, to enable all staff dealing with specific loan in the future access to correct and up to date data on each and every client.
What do you need?
Certificate IV in Finance & Mortgage Broking (minimum)
Minimum 2 years' experience in mortgage processing/credit assessment or similar role.
Background in non-bank lending highly regarded (bank experience also considered)
A sound understanding of residential and commercial credit policies and procedures.
Understanding of what's required to get a loan approved and settled
Strong organisation, multitasking and problem-solving skills
Positive attitude, team-first mindset and willingness to pitch in
