Overview We are seeking a dynamic Marketing and Communications all-rounder to join a national peak body on a full-time, permanent basis.

Reporting into the Senior Manager - Marketing and Membership, you'll help lead the development and delivery of marketing and communications strategies that raise the organisation's profile and support its mission.
You'll take a hands-on, proactive approach across all areas of communication and marketing, including digital, social media, content creation, and campaigns.To succeed, you'll need to be flexible and adaptable, comfortable working within a not-for-profit environment, and able to pivot priorities quickly while keeping projects moving.
You'll ensure clear, engaging, and consistent communication with members and stakeholders while strengthening the organisation's brand and enhancing member experience.
Key Responsibilities Execute Marketing Plans - deliver campaigns, collateral, and compelling content that align with commercial objectives.Multi-Channel Strategy - drive visibility and engagement through digital, advertising, eDMs, and social media.Social Media - create and manage engaging content that supports organisational goals.External Communications - deliver timely newsletters, updates, and announcements.Website Management - keep content accurate, relevant, and up to date.Membership Growth & Retention - contribute to strategies that attract and retain members.Brand Strengthening - ensure all activities build awareness and reputation.Customer Experience - deliver a positive member journey and maximise engagement.Collaboration - partner with events and workforce teams to promote training and events.Business Development Support - identify opportunities and foster partnerships.Platform & Agency Management - oversee systems, suppliers, and external agencies.Continuous Improvement - monitor, evaluate, and report on marketing outcomes to inform future activities.
Role Requirements Qualifications - tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Membership Organisation Experience - desirable but not essential.Content Creation - strong experience producing written and digital content across multiple formats.Writing & Editing - excellent skills with a flair for clear, engaging, and professional communication.Project Management - proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver on deadlines.Technical Skills - proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, email marketing (e.g., Mailchimp), social media platforms (e.g., Hootsuite), CMS (e.g., WordPress), analytics (e.g., Google Analytics), and Adobe Creative Suite.Member Service - ability to deliver exceptional service and communicate value.Stakeholder Engagement - strong relationship-building skills with members, stakeholders, and suppliers.Flexibility & Adaptability - ability to thrive in a fast-paced, not-for-profit environment where priorities can shift.Proactivity - self-starter with initiative, able to work independently while collaborating across teams.
