What You Will Do:
* Serve as a key advocate for Management of Change (MoC), conducting pre-reviews and overseeing mechanical document reviews at site and asset levels.
* Administer and review mechanical technical documentation using Intelics register and related systems.
* Provide mechanical design and drawing reviews in accordance with organizational standards.
* Offer technical guidance on mechanical matters, supporting RS23 stage 3 WRACs and review processes.
* Act as the mechanical risk control owner, particularly for dropped objects and uncontrolled energy releases.
* Support mechanical dossier review and facilitate seamless integration into site processes, including multi-work permit sign-off and incident investigations.
* Attend risk assessments as the MEM delegate, providing expert input on mechanical safety considerations.
* Coordinate with operational teams during hazard identification, problem-solving sessions, and crew start / end-of-shift handovers.
* Proficiently utilize SAP Work Management, Fiori, BHP MoC D2 Meridian, FLEX, MS Suite, and GRC systems to execute responsibilities effectively.
* Lead and participate in BOS processes, meetings, and field leadership activities to uphold safety standards and operational efficiency.

What We Need From You:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering
* Extensive experience in underground coal mining operations, preferably with previous MEM appointments
* Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience, including appointment as a Mechanical Engineering Manager
* Knowledge of hazard identification, problem-solving, and incident investigation processes
* Experience with underground mining safety protocols and risk assessments
* Proven experience in mechanical design, document review, and technical guidance
* Familiarity with mechanical risk control measures, particularly in high-risk environments
* Strong understanding of engineering standards, procedures, and compliance requirements
* Competency in SAP, Fiori, Meridian, FLEX, MS Office Suite, and GRC systems
