How will your ideas contribute to shaping what's next?
As our new Design Manager Roads/Civil Lead in Perth, you'll be a vital part of our Transport Land and Water team who are changing the way we design and deliver major works to be carbon neutral and sustainable. Your role will include:
* Lead and coordinate the design process across a portfolio of large-scale Roads and/or Civil projects, ensuring innovative, high-quality, and cost-effective solutions that meet client, stakeholder, and regulatory requirements
* Proactively resolve technical and design challenges to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standard
* Bringing diverse groups of people together to deliver seamlessly
* Creating a thriving, collaborative and a high-performance culture within project teams
* Building strong trust-based relationships with delivery partners and clients
* Managing the interface between disciplines through all stages of delivery
* Liaising with construction contractors, government agencies, and stakeholders
* Concise communication with project governance groups
* Input into the pursuit of future opportunities in the market

As well as experience as a Design Manager on major Roads projects, you will have:
* Tertiary qualifications in Engineering
* Understanding of how the design impacts the construction methodology
* Understanding of project and consortium commercial aspects
* Ability to create followship with a positive leadership style and a focus on team culture
* Strong decision making skills
* Drive and persistence
* Be passionate about mentoring the next generation of Major Project leaders
