This position oversees our claims management portfolio and ensures exceptional customer outcomes across Queensland. This position plays a critical role in driving the end to end claims strategic direction, operational excellence, and customer outcomes while leading large, diverse teams across the claims management function. This is a highly influential leadership position responsible for the strategic oversight and optimisation of WorkCover Queensland's claims management operations. Your leadership will directly impact the health, safety, and wellbeing of Queenslanders at work. What You’ll Be Doing: Develop and implement the strategic direction for claims management in alignment with WorkCover’s vision and corporate plan. Lead high-performing teams, cultivating a culture of innovation, collaboration, and operational excellence. Drive and implement continuous improvement in customer service, claims outcomes, and financial performance. Drive measurable impact in injury prevention, early intervention, and return-to-work outcomes. Champion safety and compliance across all claims-related activities and uphold our values at every level. What We’re Looking For: Tertiary qualifications in business, law, or a related field (postgraduate qualifications highly regarded). Proven executive leadership experience in a complex, customer-focused environment. Strong financial acumen and experience managing large operational budgets. Deep knowledge of workers’ compensation and statutory claims management. Highly developed verbal, written and presentation skills including the ability to present recommendations clearly and effectively.
