Financial Advisory Services - Metropolitan North Region is offering a short-term opportunity for a Senior Finance Business Partner to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will partner with schools to strengthen financial management practices, supporting effective resource allocation that contributes to improved educational outcomes for students.
This position is being offered in a temporary full-time capacity until 19 December 2025, unless otherwise determined.

About The Role
The Senior Finance Business Partner works directly with schools and will:
* Support the development and delivery of financial management training material to support schools.
* Assist with the development and communication of school accounting policies and procedures.
The position is based in North Lakes or Nundah (to be negotiated) providing advice and support to school staff regarding financial management.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
The Position Is a Key Contact For Schools In Terms Of Financial Policy And Procedures. This Requires An Understanding Of Financial Management Practices Affecting Schools And Involves
* Undertaking analysis of the financial management practices and financial performance of schools.
* Providing financial management advice to school based staff.
* Monitoring the level of financial management competencies within schools.
* Providing appropriate training and development programs to enhance financial management skills.
* Working effectively in a team environment.
What You Bring
* Sound knowledge of contemporary financial management issues and strategies impacting schools.
* Ability to interrogate and analyse school financial management systems - Agresso and OneSchool Finance.
* Ability to deliver training programs relating to school financial management, including in an online format.
* High level communication skills, both written and oral, with ability to influence customer behaviour and implement change.
* Demonstrated leadership and management skills appropriate to achieving outcomes within negotiated timeframes.
