About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and solutions focused Legal Counsel to join our friendly team in Chatswood, Sydney. In this role, you will support the Australian business across a broad range of commercial legal matters and provide timely, practical and commercially minded advice.
You will work closely with internal stakeholders on contracts, consumer law, risk, compliance and regulatory matters, helping to keep our operations running smoothly while enabling confident business decisions.
This role is ideal for a proactive legal professional who enjoys variety, autonomy and meaningful input into day to day commercial activity within a global travel organisation.
What You'll Be Doing
* Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts
* Providing clear, practical legal advice across commercial, corporate and regulatory matters
* Supporting business teams with contract management, compliance and risk-related issues
* Assisting with internal legal processes, policies and training
* Managing relationships with internal stakeholders and external legal providers
* Contributing to strategic initiatives with a commercial, solutions-focused approach
About You
* Tertiary qualifications in Law and eligibility to practice in Australia (unsupervised)
* 4-6 years post qualification experience (in-house or private practice)
* Experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts
* A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
* Ability to work independently while contributing to a close-knit team
