Early Intervention Specialists play a vital role in improving the lifelong mental health of children, young people and adults.
About the Role
We're looking for a part-time specialist to join our multidisciplinary consortia team, working 4 days per week or a 9 day fortnight. You'll be based primarily at our hub in Gympie, with flexibility to work from home one day per week.
* You'll address service gaps for individuals by enhancing accessibility and integrating primary mental health care, psychosocial support and early intervention.
* You'll promote holistic wellbeing by considering broader determinants of health, fostering collaboration among providers and ensuring a sustainable, adaptable service responsive to community needs.
Key Responsibilities
As an Early Intervention Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:
* Contributing high-quality evidence-based clinical care as a member of our multidisciplinary consortia team.
* Working with young people up to the age of 25, addressing their specific needs and providing targeted support.
* Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement effective interventions, promoting positive outcomes for individuals and communities.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
* AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist or Mental Health Nurse, General or Provisional AHPRA registration as a Psychologist/Clinical Psychologist, OR AASW registration/eligibility as a Social Worker, OR Level 2 ACA registration/eligibility.
* Knowledge and understanding of the theory underpinning evidence-based interventions and clinical practice, particularly in the areas of mental health and alcohol and drug use.
* Highly developed communication (including written) and interpersonal skills.
* The ability to engage with individuals, advocate on their behalf and establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, clients, families & friends and stakeholders.
* Experience in the use of electronic client/customer management systems, ability to use a desktop computer and experience with Microsoft Office applications.
* Eligibility to apply/currently hold a Blue Card for paid employment and willingness to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance for paid employment.
