The Position
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounts Receivable Officer to join a well-established business on the Sunshine Coast. You will manage your own portfolio of debtor accounts, oversee incoming payments, and play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records. This position requires a proactive, detail-driven professional who can work effectively in a team environment.
As the Senior Accounts Receivable Officer, you will be trusted with ensuring timely collections, resolving account discrepancies, and delivering exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders. You will report to the Accounts Receivable Manager.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and monitor debtor accounts, including monthly statements, overdue reminders, and credit hold decisions.
* Process all incoming payments, bank receipting, reconciliations, credit card transactions, and cash sale account reconciliations.
* Review and process new customer credit applications, manage credit limits, and liaise with external credit insurers.
* Investigate and resolve internal and external customer account queries, ensuring professional communication at all times.
* Maintain accurate customer records, run debtor reports, support management reporting, and complete end-of-month AR processes.
Skills & Experience
* Proven Accounts Receivable experience with strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with resilience, confidence and professionalism in customer interactions.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Office systems, and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
* Strong work ethic, adaptability in fast-paced environments, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
