Customer Service & Order Management Officer
Full Time – Townsville Corporate Office
The Parkside Group is a long standing, privately owned Queensland company with operations spanning hardwood sawmilling, timber manufacturing, land and property development, home construction, retail and wholesale timber and hardware and retirement living.
We are currently seeking a motivated and detail driven Customer Service & Order Management Officer to join our Corporate Office in Townsville.
In this role, you will be responsible for processing and delegating customer orders for our multiple hardwood sawmills, from order entry and mill allocation to customer communication and reporting. You will work closely with our Timber Sales Team, sawmill managers and administration teams to ensure accurate, timely and professional service. Your role will support efficient operations, strengthen customer relationships, and uphold Parkside Group’s commitment to reliable, high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, reliable customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Process customer orders via email, phone or EDI and allocate to relevant sawmill.
- Liaise with sawmills on stock, load dates, and delivery timeframes.
- Check and verify pricing, product accuracy, and order details.
- Action all email and phone queries including estimated delivery dates, changes to orders, cancellations, invoices and PODs.
- Process credit requests accurately and in line with internal processes.
- Complete required reporting and maintain accurate records.
What we are looking for
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to problem solve.
- Experience in customer service, logistics or in a similar administrative role.
- Ironbark system experience is desirable but not essential.
