About Symphony Central Coast
Symphony Central Coast is a vibrant community orchestra made up of passionate volunteer musicians dedicated to bringing high-quality live music to the Central Coast. The Symphony performs a diverse program of concerts each year, creating accessible and inspiring musical experiences for the community.
Concerts are held at Gosford Library, providing an intimate and welcoming setting for both performers and audiences.
About the Role
We are looking for a volunteer to assist with audio visual (AV) support across five concerts in 2026. Each concert is different, offering variety and the chance to build your skills in a live performance environment.
This role is ideal for someone with existing audio visual knowledge (even basic) who enjoys live events and wants to support local arts and culture.
Key Responsibilities
Operate the lighting console during performances
Assist with audio console setup and operation
Run PowerPoint presentations via USB for concert visuals
Support basic AV setup and pack-down
Work collaboratively with the Symphony team and venue staff
What Were Looking For
Some experience or familiarity with audio visual equipment
Willingness to learn training will be provided
Reliability and availability for all five concerts
Calm and organised approach in a live event environment
Interest in music and supporting local cultural initiatives
