We are looking for experienced and talented Head Chef's/Sous Chef to join our dynamic teams across multiple venues in the Toowoomba region, Queensland. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for leading and managing the kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and customer satisfaction.
What you'll be doing
* Oversee and direct the kitchen staff, including the allocation of tasks and performance management
* Develop and implement innovative and appealing menu items that cater to customer preferences
* Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards
* Manage food inventory, ordering, and cost control to maximise profitability
* Collaborate with the management team to enhance the overall dining experience
* Provide coaching and mentorship to the kitchen team to foster their professional development
What we're looking for
* Minimum 5 years of experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a similar hospitality setting
* Formal culinary training or qualifications in the Hospitality and Tourism industry
* Proven track record of managing a high-volume kitchen operation and leading a team of chefs
* Excellent understanding of food preparation, presentation, and food safety regulations
* Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills to handle challenges quickly and effectively
* Proficient in inventory management and cost control procedures
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with the team and engage with customers
* Must have Australian work rights – sponsorship is not available
