We're looking for a reliable, organised, and enthusiastic Customer Service Representative to join our team and deliver outstanding service to our customers in the industrial, trade, and oil & gas sectors.
About the Role
As our Customer Service Rep, you will be the first point of contact for customers, playing a vital role in ensuring smooth operations from initial enquiry through to delivery and calibration services. You'll handle front-of-house duties while supporting the full order and service lifecycle in a busy, hands-on environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Meet and greet customers, answer phone enquiries, and provide professional first-line support
* Register items for calibration (gas detectors, multimeters, torque wrenches, etc.), prepare quotes, and manage documentation
* Process customer orders, coordinate with local and international suppliers, and raise purchase orders
* Prepare shipping documents, pack goods for local and interstate freight, and assist with goods inwards, despatch, and occasional deliveries/pickups
* Complete invoicing for sales, calibrations, and services
* Track orders, provide accurate lead times, and proactively expedite to meet customer expectations
* Maintain detailed records in CRM and other systems
* Work closely with sales, technical, and operations teams to ensure seamless customer outcomes
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:
Essential Criteria:
* High school diploma or equivalent (Certificate/Diploma in Business, Customer Service or similar highly regarded)
* 3–5 years' experience in customer service, sales support, or administration – ideally in a trade-related, industrial, or B2B environment
* Strong organisational and multitasking skills with excellent attention to detail
* Confident written and verbal communication skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfort with CRM/database systems
* A "whatever it takes" attitude and genuine customer focus
* Basic understanding of instrumentation or calibration products (or a strong willingness to learn)
Preferred:
* Experience in the Oil & Gas sector or with calibration services
* Current Australian Driver's Licence
* Familiarity with inventory management or CRM software
